If my parents were a mixtape, it would be called the Alternative Yin & Yang. Alternative, because it celebrates differences instead of a balance. Their contrasting energies have embedded themselves in my DNA, by and by I enter their home and hearth to activate this privilege, where they unite in graciousness to welcome all. If my parents were the elements, they would be fire and water where the water is feisty and the fire, considerate. There always lives a contrast within a contrast.
